Ordered some takeout today. The ramen was delicious! The flavors were very well balanced. the Spicy Miso Ramen had a really good heat level. The spice wasn't overpowering but it definitely had a kick.
Also tried the Chef's special Bulgogi Beef. Although this wasn't quite as good as the Bulgogi Beef that I've had in Koreatown in Manhattan, it was very enjoyable. I would definitely order it again.
As other reviews have stated the service is extremely friendly and welcoming. -

I liked my visit to Hokkaido. Went there for some pick up on a whim and think I will have to check it out with a group the next time I am in town.
The area is clean, spacious, and there is a tv in the corner if you feel like sipping some beer and chilling. It is a bit spartan.
The server was polite and my food was prepared and ready when I arrived. Checkout was fast and professional.
I ordered a spicy miso soup raman bowl and it was tasty and had just the right amount of heat. I enjoyed the pork belly meat and other ingredients in the dish as well.
Hokkaido was a decent if not amazing experience and is a solid affordable go to for a good lunch or dinner. -

First time dining here. The area is spacious and clean. The chef was nice and came to greet us. The waitress, Mia was nice too and very sweet.
We had their kimchee, the chef made it himself. Its a little on the spicy side. And we ordered two ramens. One beef ramen which was like sliced beef. I ordered a Chasu ramen. It was good. Next time I'm gonna ask then to grill it. The slices were pretty big. And the portion was perfect and I was full.
The chef even threw in two drinks for us. It was quicky yummy. Not sure what it is. But it was good. Lol. -

Some dude said this ramen reminded him of being in Tokyo. Unfortunately, I have no idea what that person is talking about. I've had amazing ramen in Japan, Taiwan, California and even NYC. This spot unfortunately doesn't really compare.
Also, saying it's the best in CT isn't really saying much since I can't even find a great pho restaurant here.
The broth flavor was decent, but it was a little too fatty. The noodles weren't my preferred type (straight and thin), but they got the job done. Honestly, I thought they did a great job with the pork belly and soft boiled egg, which is definitely a plus.
The service left much to be desired, but it just opened so that's just some of the normal growing pains. I'll be back in hopes of some changes as I can't always travel to NYC for my ramen fix. -

I agree that the the interior is lacking and the staff is inexperienced but they literally just opened, I am not sure they had their grand opening at this point, but the owner is super friendly. At first, I thought their prices were a little high ($12-13) a bowl, but it was very delicious. I have tried other ramen places in the area and they were super salty. I had the spicy miso broth and it was a very balanced broth with a nice kick to it. At first, I thought the portion size was meh but I was beyond full by the time I finished and I didn't have the overwhelming salty feeling I get from most other places.
They do have a take out menu which is good to know for the future. The owner is super friendly, I really hope they do well since there aren't that many good ramen places around.
